Do I need to apply before booking an appointment?

Yes, only If you are new or haven't been back in over 6 Months! We Customize everything! Sometimes it takes several appointments to safely achieve your dream results. Simply answer a few key questions and submit the appropriate photos. We will then schedule a complimentary consultation to go over any and all questions you may have and personally book your appointment for you. Some appointments require a non-refundable retainer that goes towards your service total.
How Much do Extensions Cost?

Cost is determined by what condition your current hair is and what your dream hair goal you are trying to achieve.
It depends on your texture and density as well. We use the best quality hair and customize all of our wefts to blend and color match seamlessly. How much they cost is different for everyone, so make sure you apply so we can set up your complimentary phone consultation!

Do you offer Extension move up services to clients who haven't been to Hair by Barbie?
​
Only if you are currently a client of a fellow Licensed NBR Artist and we can chat with your stylist beforehand. We no longer offer services we cannot guarantee. If wanting to receive our services you will have to be a New Install First.
Can I come to Hair By Barbie if I don't get extensions?

Barbie is only accepting color clients along with our Extension Clients..., No New haircut only clients as we specialize in Color and Extension services only!

We do Offer Haircut only services to anyone eligible to donate 12" or longer of Virgin hair to Wigs for Kids.

What should I AVOID while wearing Extensions?

avoid sunscreens containing avobenzone and octocrylene

avoid using toning shampoos on extension hair

avoid unnecessary tension when styling or putting hair up

never sleep with wet hair
How do you maintain these hair extensions?
​
The hair we use is guaranteed for 6 months depending on how you care for it.
After your initial installation, we book your 1st move up in 6 weeks to make sure you are properly taking care of it. After that appointment you are looking at coming back every 6-8 weeks to do a move-up. This usually coincides with your color services.
Your daily care is pretty easy! Brush, brush, brush, and oil your hair daily. Use a sulfate-free shampoo. (We provides these for you at your New Install Service). Sleeping and Swimming we recommend braiding the hair or keeping it contained so it isn't rubbing around and getting matted. ( We offer Sleep by Covet & Mane click here!) You will be surprised how long you can go between washes. There are half washes we will show you. Or we offer our highly attractive Mermaid Blowout Services, where we clarify, deep clean, and infused with the best peptides out on the market k18. Plus we finish off with Instagram worthy Curls that will last you a week.

Looking to be a hair donor, or looking to be a Wig Recipient, we can set up a time to do that for you! Recipients need to qualify with Wigs For Kids, Hair By Barbie can help you with the measurements and ordering.
