I am wholeheartedly dedicated to offering the finest in hair extensions and luxury hair color services. My goal is to craft dream-worthy transformations, one "mermaid" at a time, while ensuring the health and integrity of your hair. Through expertise and thoughtful care, I strive to provide and unforgettable experience that leaves you feeling confident, radiant, and completely at ease.
My Salon
Hair By Barbie began its journey in August 2013 and has continued to evolve with intention, vision, and heart. In March 2020—just before the pandemic—I transitioned into the Randy Rix Hair Studio space, where my work, purpose, and specialization deepened during a season of profound growth.
My roots began in Fell’s Point, where I focused on haircuts and color. In 2019, however, a clear calling led me to shift toward specialized hair extensions, low-maintenance lived-in color, and solution-driven services for hair loss and thinning. That transformation shaped the foundation of the business you see today—customized, luxury, and deeply personalized.
Now, Hair By Barbie has entered its next chapter in a private, tranquil studio located in Parkville, Maryland, within Baltimore County. This new space—"Mermaid Cove"—offers the ease of a dedicated parking pad and the serenity of a true retreat. Designed with intention, it is a transformational environment where beauty, healing, and confidence meet.
More than a salon, this space reflects years of experience, continued education, and a deep commitment to being a forever student in the ever-evolving world of hair. I specialize in customized extension, thinning-hair, and hair-loss solutions—never one-size-fits-all—always guided by what is best for each individual guest.
